Macbeth

Macbeth rough draft 1[10632] (FINAL).jpg

Another of Shakespeare's iconic pieces of theatre, Macbeth is without doubt a sharp hitting piece of storytelling. Love, ambition, power, jealousy, betrayal and murder most foul.  Macbeth has it all.

The play is adapted and directed by Andrew Hislop and has UK actor Lawrence Stubbings in the title role, accompanied by the incredible Caitlin de Garis as Lady Macbeth.

After a successful campaign of war Macbeth returns home only to be confronted  by three unusual woman; witches to be precise. A prophesy is uttered which pronounces him Thane of Cawdor and King hereafter.  So begins a journey that spirals in blood and death to the Throne.

But, be be thus is nothing!

It is hoped that our productions will in some way allow us to "hold as ‘twere the mirror up to nature, to show virtue her own feature, scorn her own image, and the very age and body of the time his form and pressure". [Hamlet, Act 3 Scene 2].

"What an amazing production! Powerful and spellbinding performances by the players that left us wanting more." - Sandra

"Gillian Jackson’s witch could only draw comparisons for me with Charlotte Rampling’s Reverend Mother in the new film version of Dune (which is a very good thing!" - Tommy

"Beguiling. Seductive. Terrifying.

Intoxicating. Beautiful."  - Paul
